Brass Days 2011

2011 Brass Days at the Moscow State Conservatory took place on October 10 and 11 in the Rachmaninoff and Conference Halls.  The unique brass festival featured performances and master classes by outstanding soloists and ensembles from Russia and abroad.  A special guest performer was American trumpet professor Kevin Eisensmith, who is President of the International Trumpet Guild.  Ensemble participants included the Russian National Orchestra Brass Quintet, Fortuna Brass, Brass Trio of the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia, Trombone Octet of moscow Soloists, Percussion Ensemble of the Gnesin Academy of Music and Big Brass Ensemble of Moscow Soloists.  Vladislav Lavrik, principal trumpet of the RNO, is the artistic director and founder of Brass Days, which are held each year in the fall.  Dates for 2012 Brass Days will be announced soon.  Follow our information at http://www.brassdays.com

Vladislav Lavrik performed Hummel trumpet concerto at Final gala of the International music festival “Crescendo”. Recorded in the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatoire in 2011. Tchaikovsky symphony orchestra headed by Dmitri Liss.
